There are many towns and villages in the Meander Valley. A kaleidoscope of architectural styles, landscapes and tourist attractions. Old pubs, historic mansions, rolling hills, glossy cattle and lush forests will all have you whispering "wow, look at that!" Don't forget your camera.
The Meander River runs through the middle of Deloraine. It is healthy and, in parts, fast flowing. If you are patient there is a very good chance you will see a platypus splashing at the water's edge. One of our best kept secrets.
A free platypus tour is conducted by the Empire Hotel, each evening.
